Baptism

Baptism is a big and exciting step — an act of faith and obedience to publicly share your commitment to following Jesus. We’d love to celebrate this milestone with you!

What is Baptism?

Baptism is a significant step in one’s spiritual journey. It’s a public declaration of your personal decision to follow Jesus, a way to show outwardly what has already taken place inwardly — your commitment to live for Him. As you go under the water, it symbolizes leaving behind your old life, and as you come up, it represents being raised into new life in Jesus.

Baptism

It illustrates Christ’s burial and resurrection.

“For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in baptism you were also raised with Christ.”

Colossians 2:12

It illustrates your new life as a follower of Jesus.

“When someone becomes a Christian he becomes a brand new person inside. The old life has passed away and a new life has begun!”

2 Corinthians 5:17

Baptism does not “save” you, only your faith in Jesus does that.

Baptism doesn’t make you a believer — it shows that you already believe.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith … it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9

Helina & Cam's Story

“I felt kinda nervous… I thought I had to answer a series of questions about the Bible and If I messed up, I couldn’t get baptized… until I heard a message from a pastor saying ‘as long you’ve accepted Jesus in your heart, fully and wholly, then you’re ready.”
