The Hope Offering
Fueling compassion and faith across the Bay Area.
Now until December 31, 2024.
Dear Echo Family,
We’re in a time desperate for hope — with many feeling disconnected, divided, and empty. This also means we’re living in an opportune time for the church to rise with the message that changes the human heart and connects people to a life of greater purpose.
That’s why we’re asking you to join us in fueling compassion and faith across the Bay Area through this year’s Hope Offering. The Hope Offering is an opportunity for us to stretch our faith with radical generosity, giving above our regular giving to causes that advance God’s purposes.
We’re asking you to stretch your faith and make a tangible impact in these two ways:
- Give sacrificially to our church’s collective mission so that we can continue to serve, love, and bring hope to people in every corner of our region.
- Give sacrificially to your personal circles of influence — whether a neighbor, coworker, or family member. Let’s let generosity open doors for miracles.
Let’s step boldly into this moment, trusting God and believing that our generosity can be the catalyst for transforming our region with the love of Jesus.
With love and gratitude,
Filipe and Mandy
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. — Romans 15:13 (NIV)

Generosity in our Personal Circles of Influence
This season, we’re also challenging everyone in the Echo community to think of ways to generously bless those in your schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods — marking this season by giving, not getting. Here are some creative ways to practice personal generosity:
- Surprise someone by filling their car with gas
- Buy the coffee of the person next to you in line
- Promote a local business on your social accounts
- Send a gift card to a college student you know
- Bake cookies and take it to a neighbor you’ve never met
- Host a Christmas party and invite friends to Echo
- Volunteer for a cause with your friends
- Get donuts or bagels for a team or group

You can give online by going to echo.church/give. Select your campus, then select the “Hope Offering” fund.
We also encourage you to consider giving stocks, IRAs, or crypto — a tax-efficient way to bless the Kingdom, as you and the church are exempt from capital gains taxes. You can also give through your company’s matching fund or other third-party donor-advised funds. Please give before December 31, 2024, so we can celebrate what God has done collectively.
Echo’s Directional Leadership Team, under the accountability of our board, will assess our priorities and determine the best ways to invest our resources for maximum Kingdom impact.
Echo.Church is accountable to two governing boards, an internal Board of Trustees and an external Board of Overseers. These boards work alongside our Directional Leadership Team to ensure that all our accounting, budgeting, investing, and stewardship systems are above reproach. In addition, Echo voluntarily submits to an annual audit by a third-party reputable firm.
