The Hope Offering 2025

A Threshold Moment

God-sized goal of $5,000,000 | Now until January 31, 2026

Dear Echo Family,

There are moments in history when God’s people stand at a threshold — a point of transition from what was to what can be. These moments are sacred, significant, and demanding. They call for unity and wholehearted commitment as we step faithfully into God’s calling.

I believe we are living in such a moment — as a generation, as a region, and as a church.

A Generational Threshold Moment

By 2032, it’s estimated that Scripture will be available in every language on earth, and nearly 90% of humanity will soon be connected online. We carry the privilege and responsibility of spreading the hope of Jesus in ways no generation has before.

A Bay Area Threshold Moment

Here in the Bay Area, we are at the epicenter of the AI revolution, which is shaping education, business, medicine, politics, and family life around the globe. Though we are in the country’s most unchurched metropolitan area, Bay Area churches are now more unified than ever, which positions us for the greatest Kingdom fruitfulness ever seen in our region.

An Echo.Church Threshold Moment

This year, we have seen record numbers come to faith, get baptized, and step into discipleship. Our church is healthy and growing, and now positioned for great impact through each of
our campuses.

Why the Hope Offering Matters

Our annual Hope Offering is how we respond to this moment together. Your generosity will expand our campuses, fuel Compassion partnerships, and extend hope across our region and beyond.

We invite you to prayerfully ask:

  • What does sacrificial faith look like for me in this season?
  • How am I stewarding the time, place, and resources God has entrusted to me?
  • What role do I play in helping our church cross this threshold?

This is not about equal gifts, but about equal sacrifice. Every gift and step of faith matters.

Family, we truly are at a threshold moment. Let’s step forward together — with faith, unity, and joy — trusting God to use our gifts to write stories of hope that will echo for generations.

With love,

Filipe & Mandy Santos

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.”

— Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)

Our Progress

As of Dec 13, we have raised 2.45 million of our $5 million goal

Campus Expansion & Improvement

North San Jose

We are doubling the size of our auditorium and upgrading key spaces, so hundreds more can encounter Jesus in a welcoming, excellent environment.

Fremont

We are transforming the old auditorium and lobby into a vibrant hub for students, young adults, and community gatherings, while also completing a new kids’ theater to reach more families.

Sunnyvale

We are creating an inviting outdoor gathering space that strengthens community and sparks meaningful conversations as Cowboy Coffee draws people onto our campus.

Echo Compassion

We are committed to multiplying hope across the Bay Area and beyond — building on initiatives like Foster the City, Alpha, and church planting to see regional revival.

Bay Area Church Planting Network

Our efforts with BACPN have led to over 20 Bay Area churches collaborating to start and care for new, multiplying churches in our region. This year’s Hope Offering will support existing partnerships with church planters and fund the establishment of three new churches in 2026.

Existing Partnerships

Church Plants

Foster the City

Our Hope Offering helps Foster the City find loving homes for vulnerable children and equip the families who open their doors to them. With new tools like an AI-powered Advocate Resource page, our generosity is empowering families, strengthening Advocates, and giving more kids the stability and love they deserve.

Local Compassion

By giving generously, we fuel local compassion efforts through partnerships with organizations like CityTeam, Teen Challenge, and CAP-SV (Coalition Alleviating Poverty-Silicon Valley), which helps families break the cycle of poverty through building relationships, education, and financial literacy. We also fund outreach events and programs — like the CAP-SV Shoe Drive — that help demonstrate God’s love in practical ways to local schools, businesses, and families seeking connection and hope.

Global Compassion

Echo continues to partner with ministries all around the world, like First Missionary Church in Pecém, Ceará, Brazil. The church has become a catalyst for incredible growth — offering two Sunday services, midweek Bible training, and a variety of social programs serving the local community. It’s also become a regional hub for leadership development, hosting conferences and major events.

As the church continues to grow, it needs additional space for kids and students. Recently, it purchased a corner lot across the street, with a vision to build a new facility that includes classrooms and offices to provide free legal and psychological support to families, many facing violence and caring for children with autism.

AI Conference

We’re excited to help organize and host a brand new AI Conference, equipping ministry leaders and our community to engage one of the most significant cultural shifts of our time with wisdom and a gospel-centered vision. This event ensures the church leads the conversation on AI — shaping it toward justice, flourishing, and kingdom impact rather than allowing it to erode community and faith.

The Next Generation

According to Barna research, this rising generation is extremely open to God. “Over three in four U.S. teens (77%) say they are at least somewhat motivated (52% very, 25% somewhat) to continue learning about Jesus throughout the rest of their lives.”

The harvest is ready — but is the next generation ready to lead? In 2026, we will invest intentionally in training and equipping the next generation to carry the mantle of faith into the future.

The Invitation

This is a threshold moment unlike any other. Reaching our God-sized goal of $5 million will be impossible without the sacrifice of every person at Echo. We invite you to:

Make a Gift

It’s time to step out in faith. Every gift matters. Every sacrifice counts.

You can make a one-time gift or set up recurring giving via ACH or debit/credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. You can also simply and securely give non-cash assets, such as stocks and crypto.

Where and how should I give? How can I maximize my giving?

You can give by going to echo.church/give. Select your campus, then select the “Hope Offering” fund.

A tax-efficient way to bless the Kingdom is to give stocks, IRAs, or crypto, as you and the church are exempt from capital gains. You can also give through your company’s matching fund or other third-party donor-advised funds.

How are the decisions made regarding fund allocation?

Echo’s Directional Leadership Team (DLT), under the accountability of our board, will assess our priorities and determine the best ways to invest our resources for maximum Kingdom impact.

How does Echo steward its resources?

Echo is accountable to an internal Board of Trustees and an external Board of Overseers, which work with our DLT to ensure our stewardship systems are above reproach. We also voluntarily submit to an annual audit by a reputable third-party firm.

One-time gift or recurring?

The Hope Offering is a call to give a sacrificial one-time gift above your regular giving. However, if Echo is your church, our prayer is that you would also increase your regular giving and, at minimum, commit to faithfully tithe in 2026 — giving the first 10% of your income as a way of honoring God with your resources and fueling our collective mission.

What are you asking me to do?

We’re inviting you to give to the Hope Offering by January 31, 2026. If possible, please give by December 31, 2025. Many of these initiatives depend on immediate funding so that we maintain strong momentum.
