21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

An intentional time to pray and fast in preparation for Easter.

March 30 – April 19, 2025

Beginning on March 30, we invite our church family to fast from food for 21 days from the time they wake up until 1:00 pm. This is intentional time we will set apart to humble ourselves, seek God, and give Him room to do what only He can.

Fasting is a spiritual practice that engages our whole being — spirit, soul, and body. When we fast, we allow physical hunger and weakness to move us toward God in prayer. The challenging aspect of this practice requires total dependence on God, but when we fast, God renews us in a deeply transformative way.*

As we fast together, let’s anticipate how God will increase our faith and begin making the impossible possible.

Ways to Participate

  • Fast daily from all food upon waking until 1:00 pm
  • Read a chapter from John’s Gospel every day
  • Watch our daily devotional videos
  • Join our daily Zoom prayer at 7:00 am (link will be added soon)
  • Join Staff Prayer on Wed at 9:00 am at our North San Jose campus

How to Plan

As you prepare for the fast, consider journaling about these questions:

  • How can you make this season meaningful?
  • Who can you invite to journey with you?
  • Are there other distractions you can remove (minimizing social media, devices, entertainment, etc.)?
  • Any other spiritual practices God is inviting you to include?
  • Who will you reach out to on difficult days?
