SEPTEMBER 2
Welcome back!
Today, we are going to focus on the fact that we get to come into the presence of the Father because of Jesus.
Read: Hebrews 4:14-16 (NLT)
“So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
Today, I put the passage here for you. I’m going to keep you guessing. 🙂
We get to come into The Father’s presence because of the death and resurrection of Jesus. Jesus faced all the same challenges we face but never sinned.
Take a few moments to meditate on the perfection and obedience of Jesus. Imagine yourself before the throne of God based on Jesus’ sacrifice. Take a few moments to repent of sin in your heart. Thank Him for His kindness and forgiveness.
Ask Him this morning to make you aware of the depth of His mercy and grace for you.
Ask The Father to increase your adoration and affection for our High Priest: King Jesus.
Pray that He would grow in you a bold faith.
Pray that He would show His mercy to our lives together.
You can pray something like this:
Father, thank you today for your mercy. Today, I pray that you would grow in me boldness in my prayers. I pray that you would help me in my time of need. I pray that you would help others around me who need your help, as well. I pray that you would pour out your mercy on the Bay Area. I pray that you would use our prayers, and that many people would see you as you want to be seen through our prayers.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Proud of you for praying today! God is going to bless your intentionality.
Love,
Pastor Andy

I pray that you would pour out your mercy on the Bay Area…and this whole country!
Truly, Lord, your mercies are new every morning! We can’t thank you enough for your grace and goodness to us. Help us to reflect that in our dealings with others
Amen… Lord, I’m sorry for taking your grace and mercy for granted. Help me to know your heart at a deeper depth, and to grow my faith and thus the boldness of my prayers!
My other devotion this morning was John 15:4. “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit of severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful if you do not remain in Me”. It is a reminder of all that Jesus has done for us by inviting us into his family , to become a branch on the Devine vine. We are not alone and all praise goes to Him who walks with us as we carry out His purpose here in Earth. We can call on Him in our need and for our strength as we have a connection to eternity.
“let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Lord, I pray for your mercy today and always as I continue to strengthen my faith in you.
