Discover how to reexamine your relationship with technology to prioritize with what matters most.

Sundays, Jan 4 – Feb 1

We have a problem, a distraction problem. And 91% of us carry this problem around with us 24 hours a day. This amazing piece of technology, our smartphone, has become our single biggest source of distraction. Discover how you can reimagine and reexamine your relationship with technology to engage with what matters most.

28-Day Digital Detox

The 28-day Digital Detox helps you reduce distraction, deepen you devotion, and create space to hear God’s voice more clearly. It’s a powerful way to begin the year by forming healthy habits with technology.

What is a Digital Detox?

In simple terms, it’s turning your smartphone into a dumbphone for 28 days.

How to Participate

Remove all social, streaming, news, games, and other algorithm-driven apps from your phone. Think utility over distraction. For example:

Remove

  • Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, and Reddit
  • YouTube, Twitch, Discord, and games
  • News and video podcasts

Keep

  • Bible and Echo apps
  • Weather, calendar, and maps
  • Audiobooks and music

Helpful Considerations

  • Find others who are participating in the detox and hold one another accountable
  • Remove your email from your phone
  • Don’t wear a smartwatch (get an analog watch instead)
  • Don’t charge your phone in your bedroom (get an alarm clock instead)
  • Find a box to leave your phone in to make your home distraction-free
  • Consider purchasing or using a printed Bible for spending more time in God’s word
